DEBBIE WINGFIELD!!!!
Thank you so so much to everyone who entered our giveaway. You have blessed us so much in the last couple of weeks, and we can’t even begin to tell you what a stress relief it has been during this process. And what a huge blessing it has been with court fees and upcoming airfare.
These last couple of weeks have been HARD. Waiting to hear whether we’re going to get to go before the court closure is enough to drive us nuts. Each email and phone call feel like a drop on a roller coaster. It’s hard to explain. Our daughter is there. She’s right there. Half way across the world. Sleeping, eating, growing, playing, giggling, learning new things, making new friends. Just going about life. And we’re here. Right here. Trying to go about daily business while feeling like a third of our family is missing.
We’re trying to keep ourselves occupied. Trying to keep busy and keep our minds focused. But it’s hard. And even in the best moments there’s a heaviness that she’s not here to share them. Nate keeps saying “Nothing else matters as much as getting her home.” And he’s right. I need to have that in writing for myself for when things are haaaaard after she gets home. For the middle of the night terrors. For the grieving fits. Food issues. And unanswerable questions she may have. For the nasty looks or comments from people who “don’t get it.” For the sleepless nights. Or what I’m expecting to be hours on the phone with insurance companies. God has called us to adoption. He has brought us to Elsa. He is trusting us to care for her and raise her. And He will give us the grace to get through this wait…and whatever we go through as a family once she’s home.
Until then we are so thankful she is living where she is. While we can’t wait until she is home, I can say that we aren’t stressing about where she’s at right now. We know she is being well cared for. She looks happy and healthy, and we’ve gotten some new pictures where he hair is growing back from being shaved. She is just too cute! : )
We’re still continuing to pray for a court date before the closures. And I’m really praying that I get to write a new blog post this week even with our travel dates!! Thank you again to everyone who has written us notes of support, donated, and just loved us through this process. We are so so thankful.

Thank You Ashley, for letting us be apart of this. having you keep us posted is a huge blessing. Praying with you! Bring Elsa Home!
